My Mum, metallica and Gettysburg

I'd love to see the reasoning behind a google search that would dig up the title of this entry...

Anyway, this is sort of an amalgamated update about the last few days. First and foremost, the good news: I've churned out three songs and a sketch for the treason show! Huzzzaaah!

The bad news, I've now got to redraft an essay on the extent wo which Gettysburg was a turning point in the American Civil War. Not too tough a challenge, or at least it shouldn't be.

That is, if I could find it.

Oh, and if I had more than an hour in which to complete the redraft.

And, seeing as I've done the good and the bad, the ugly must follow. Yes, my mother is involved (sorry mum) as the title may have lead you to believe. What's utterly stunned me today, and left me in a braindead state upon the couch downing pints of caffiene free diet coke (Coloured water, there's nothing left in it when they remove the sugar and caffiene) is that my mum has been through my albums. And she has developed a worrying fondness for Metallica's "Black Album". As such, my mum is now listening to somewhat disaffected music to cope with the ennuie of her existence, all leading to the horror that is a 53 year old house wife from portsmouth singing "I dub thee unforgiven" doing air guitar with her Teefal "Creasemaster 2000".

So, if you'll excuse I'm going to attempt to redraft this essay, and cleanse my brain.

At least she hates "Master of Puppets." That ones still mine.

Begin the Begin

Right, this is going to be my online log of my attempts to get some writing done, and what better way to begin than by commencing with a description of what I'm up to at the moment, and hopefully for 2009!

Currently, work is beginning on some sketch writing, hopefully for the treason show or newsrevue, to earn a few bob to pay for trips to the pub! As well as this I've got ideas flying around for a sitcom pilot, my philisophical metafarce of a film and the all important serialised fantasy stories.

Oh, and I suppose I ought to do some of the work I have for college soon. Hmmm.

Anyways, I shall aim to put up any useful advice or insight on here from time to time, hopefully at least two or three times a week, keep updates, and share a few annecdotes.

Until then, Ciao!
